IN MEMORY OF
Robert N. Foreman Sr.

Robert N. Foreman Sr., 51, of Albany, Ohio (Pageville Community) passed away, at 7:32 p.m. on November 13, 2014 at his residence. Born December 17, 1962, in Columbus, Ohio he was the son of the late Edward R. and the late Betty A. Rawson Foreman.  He was a carpenter.

He is survived by his wife Sharlene Watson Foreman, whom he married on November 12, 1983 in Pomeroy, his children, Jennifer (Brandon) Triplett, of Cheshire, and Robert (Starr Russell) Foreman, Jr., of Pageville, grandchildren, Gatlin Triplet, Lofton Triplet, and Isabella Foreman, and Gabriella Foreman. His sisters, Sylvia (Wayne) Hatter, of Cincinnati, Jennifer L. Mock, of Kenton, and Naomi (Ray) Wilson, of Portland along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews also survive.

In addition to his parents Robert is preceded in death by a brother, John Foreman, and a sister Bonnie Foreman who passed in infancy, father-in-law, Nelson Watson, and mother-in-law, Mary Watson.

Friends may call on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 from 5-8 p.m. in the Cremeens-King Funeral Chapel, Pomeroy. In keeping with Robert’s wishes there will be no funeral service, cremation services are entrusted to the Cremeens-King Funeral Chapel, Pomeroy.

Guy Eugene Bing, Sr.

Guy Eugene Bing, Sr., 72, of Montross, Virginia, and formerly of Middleport, passed away at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at the Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center, in Richmond Virginia. Born October 31, 1941 in the Bradbury community, he was the son of the late Guy Emile Bing and the late Clyda Beach Michaels.  He served his county in U.S. Navy. He retired from the American Commercial Barge Lines where he worked on the Delta Queen as well as other boats as the a chief engineer.

He is survived by his wife Linda Smith Bing, of Montross, VA, whom he married on May 23, 1973 in Greenfield South Carolina, his daughters, Megan Bing, of Wellston, Oh., and Amber (Josh) Conklin, of Mt. Holly, Virginia, his sons, Micah Tyler Morgan, of Minnesota, Christopher (Wendy) Dorsey, of Georgia, Guy Eugene (Autumn) Bing, Jr., of Middleport, and Donald Bing, of Hartford, W.V., a step-daughter, Kim Smith, of Florida, and ten grandchildren. Two sister, Roberta (Lee) Wekelich, of Caldwell, Ohio, and Joyce Ash, of Pomeroy, a brother Ernie (Judy) Bing, of Racine, and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by two grandchildren, Candice Conklin, and Leveret Conklin his step-mother, Freda Bing, and step-father, Harmon Michaels, .

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 18, 2014 in the Cremeens-King Funeral Home. Pastor David McManis will officiate. Interment will follow in the Middleport Hill Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the Middleport Fenney Bennet Post 128 and the Racine Post 602 of the American Legion.  Friends may call two hours prior to the funeral service on Thursday at the funeral home.

Kenneth R. Riffle

Kenneth R. Riffle, 46, of Pomeroy, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at his residence. Born April 13, 1968 in Pomeroy, he was the son of Rudolph “Rudy” Riffle who survives in Pomeroy and the late Erma Hall Riffle. He was a self employed auto detailer. He loved building model airplanes and cars, and also followed Nascar and his favorite driver was Matt Kennseth.

In addition to his father Kenneth is survived by his fiancé, Mary E. Bentz, his sisters, Candy (Mark) Burke, Norwood, N.C., Alice Finn, Norwood N.C., Kimberly Riffle, Elkhart, In., a brother Danny Riffle, Elkhart, In., step-sons, John (Teresa) Bentz, Terry (Crystal Mauntel) Lambert, a step-daughter, Carolyn (Jeffery) Circle. Step-grandchildren, Atumn, David, Gage and Breanna Bentz, Quentyn Mauntel, Sophia Lambert, Hannah, Elijah, and Bekaeh Circle, a step great-grandchildren Cade, Tessa and Travis Bentz and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
Also surviving is a sister-in-law, Lisa Riffle, Elkhart, Indiana.  Nieces and nephews, Erica (Jarrod) Kauffman, Brandon Riffle, Bailie Riffle and Krlee Dawn Kauffman.
 
In addition to his mother Kenneth is preceded in death by his sisters Donna Mae Riffle and Jennifer Mary Riffle.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cremeens-King Funeral Home. Pastor Janice Lavender will officiate.  Interment will follow in the Letart Falls Cemetery. Friends may call two hours prior to the service time on Saturday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family by visiting Cremeens King Funeral Home

Allison Lynn Lee

Allison Lynn Lee, 37, of Belpre, passed away, on Friday, July 18, 2014 at her sister’s residence in Marietta, Ohio. Born May 8, 1977, in Gallipolis, Oh., she was the daughter of Rose Ellen Roush of Middleport and the late Clarence Edward Lee. She was a homemaker.

In addition to her mother, Allison is survived by a daughter Ariel Lawson, of Syracuse, sisters, Kelley Bachner, of Middleport and Michelle (Kenneth Roberts) Montgomery, of Marietta, her companion Eric Diddle, of Belpre, a special friend, Margaret Barnette, of Belpre, and nieces, Josie Klein, Sara Klein, Emily Montgomery, and Alexis Robberts.

In addition to her father Clarence, Allison is preceded in death by her brother Christopher Shawn Lee.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 22, 2014 at the Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Pomeroy with Pastor Doug Cox officiating. Interment will follow in the Graham Cemetery, Mason, West Virginia. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Wanda McCallister

Wanda McCallister, age 70, passed away at 11:24 p.m. in her home on Saturday, June 7, 2014.  Born on February 6, 1944, in Winfield, West Virginia she was the daughter of the late John and Anna McCallister.   Wanda lived with her sister Patty at Middleton Estates for the past eighteen years.  
 
Surviving are two sisters, Vriginia McCallister Prince, of Palatka, Florida and  Patty McCallister of Gallipolis.  

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a sister, Mary McCallister.

Funeral services will be held at Noon  on Friday, June 13, 2014  in the First Presbyterian Church, 51 State Street in Gallipolis.  Officating will be Chaplain Ed Valentine.  Interment will be in Centenary Cemetery, Centenary, Ohio.
 
Friends may call one hour prior the service at the church.

Alberto A. Rodriguez

Alberto A. Rodriguez, 52, of Hartford, West Virginia, passed away at 6:14 p.m.  on May 6, 2014 in the Cabell Huntington Hospital, in Huntington, West Virginia. Born May 9, 1961 in Wheeler, Michigan, he was the son of the late Gilberto and Barbara Foster Rodriguez. He worked at the Wildhorse Café in Pomeroy.

Alberto is survived by his brothers and sisters, Gilberto Rodriguez Jr., of Michigan, Linda Rodriguez, of Florida, Mickey (Jenice) Rodriguez, of Oklahoma, Cynthia Rodriguez, of Hartford, WV., Michelle (Willy) Suggs, of Georgia, and Angelo (Mira) Rodriguez, of Alabama. His godson, Elijah Rodriguez, twenty one nieces and nephews, twelve great-nieces and nephews, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and his Wildhorse Café family also survive.

In addition to his parents, Alberto is preceded in death by a sister, Martha Witting.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, May 9, 2014 in the Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Pomeroy. Interment will be in held at the convenience of the family in Michigan.  Friends may call one hour prior to the service time at funeral home on Friday.

Carla J. Reeves, 44, of Middleport, passed away, at 11:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 24, 2014, in the Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis. Born May 29, 1969, in Orville, Ohio she was the daughter of Minter and Carol Jenkins  Schartiger, who survive in Middleport.  Carla was a homemaker.

In addition to her parents Carla is survived by her Husband, Johnny Reeves, whom she married on March 10, 1990 in Middleport, two daughters, Brandi Reeves, of Point Pleasant, WV., and Crystal Reeves, of Gallipolis, two grandchildren, Ashlyn Cremeans, and Samuel Dust, two brothers, Mickey  Schartiger, of Pomeroy, and Donald (Karen) Schartiger, of Middleport, and a sister, Becky (Ryan) Myers, of Rutland. Numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive.

Carla is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Freda Lou Vada Maynard and Elbert Schartiger, maternal grandparents, Valetta and Roger Jenkins, and an uncle, Elbert Schartiger Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Monday, April 28, 2014, in the Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Middleport/Pomeroy Chapel with Pastor Ralph Searles. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the service time at Noon on Monday.

James “Jimmy” Scott Cundiff

James “Jimmy”  Scott Cundiff, 69, of Pomeroy, passed away, in the afternoon, on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at his Gold Ridge Rd. residence. Born October 17, 1944, he was the son of the late John and Louise Anderson Cundiff. He retired as a deck hand from the Ingram Barge Company.

He is survived by two daughters Leigha Bryant, of Pomeroy,and Beverly Gean (Randall) Estep, of Ripley, W.V., sons, James Scott Cundiff Jr., Thomas McCleary Cundiff, and Jon Cundiff Willis, all of Columbus, grandchildren, Nova Watson, Kylie and Addyson Estep a brother, Charles (Paulette) Cundiff, of Pomeroy, sisters, Mary Ann Vanover, of Pomeroy, and Juanita “Susie” Bryant, of Pomeroy.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by three brothers, John Cundiff Jr., Raymond Cundiff, and Ralph Cundiff, and a sister, Eleanor “Murmer” Blalock.

A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family with his brother Rev. Charles Cundiff officiating. Cremation services are entrusted to the Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Pomeroy.

William Richard Hall Jr.

William Richard Hall Jr., 57, passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at his residence. Born September 2, 1956, to the late William and Cassie Hysell Hall in Mason County, WV. Bill's passion was working in the funeral industry, he also worked in retail, and for the Mars Company. Bill was a member of the Church of the Risen Lord and he was also know for his amazing piano playing.

He is survived by his wife, Roxie Hall, a son William Aaron Hall, of Lancaster, a step-daughter, Jeanie (Rodney) McCollum of Al., a grandson, Dante Hall, sisters, Marry Fallon, of Patriot, Debby Tillis, of Rutland, brothers, Tim (Nancy) Hall, of Whitehall, Charles Hall, of Middleport, Jerry Hall, of Hamden, Ryan (Paula) Hall, of Lancaster, and Joe Hall, of Lancaster, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 1, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the Cremeens-King Funeral Home, with Pastor Larry Lemley officiating. Friends may call on hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Middleport Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Bill;s memory to a charity of ones choice.

Helen W. Bolt

Helen W. Bolt, 83 of Kingsbury Rd., Pomeroy, passed away, at 10:01 p.m. on Monday, February 10, 2014, at her daughter, Jane Rufo’s residence in Andover, Ohio. Born October 19, 1930, in Powellton, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Mason Kirk and the late Helen Mason Doss. She retired from Virden Lighting Company in Cleveland after twenty seven years of services as an assembly line technician.

She is survived by her husband of forty four years Robert L. Bolt whom she married on August 22, 1969, in Cleveland, Ohio, her daughters, Linda Palshook, of Rome, Oh., Jane Rufo, Andover, Oh., and Nancy Johnston, of Destiny, Florida, eight grandchildren, Allison (Hector) Class, Todd Palshook, Angelique (Michael) Kelly, Lance Palshook, Jennifer Soderstrom, Matthew Rofu, Jeffrey (Natalie) Hendrics, II, and Jill (Jeremy) Hutzell. Twelve great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, a brother, Norman (Bonnie) Kirk, of Michigan, and a sister, Marie Napier, Dublin, Ohio, and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her mother and father, Helen is preceded in death by two brothers, Mason Kirk, and Edward Kirk, and a son-in-law, Anthony Rufo.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 17, 2014, in the Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Pomeroy with Ted Gillette officiating. Interment will follow in the Carleton Cemetery, Bedford Township. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.

Edna Mae Stewart

Edna Mae Stewart, 90, of Mulberry Ave., Pomeroy, went home to be with our Lord at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 30, 2014, in the St. Mary's Medical Center, Huntington W.V. Born July 11, 1923 in Athens County, Ohio she is the daughter of the late Clarence H. and Annie E. (McKee) McKee. She was a homemaker and a member of the Rutland Freewill Baptist Church. She enjoyed going to church before her health failed her, she also enjoyed spending time with her family and shopping. Edna spent a lot of time with a very special niece Doll Woods.
 
Edna is survived by one daughter, Susan Kay (Albert) Lawson of Long Bottom, two sons, Carl Edward (Carol) Stewart, of Cheshire, and Charles Kenneth (Vera) Stewart, of Middleport, twenty one grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren. Two sisters, Helen Partlow, of Pomeroy, Ohio and Violet Stover, of Middleport, two sisters-in-law, Janet McKee, of Middleport, and Bernice McKee of Waynesville, Missouri, and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her parents Edna is preceded in death by the love of her life Charles “Charlie” F. Stewart whom she married on July 6, 1938 and preceded her in death in 1797, a daughter, Margaret E. (Stewart) Goett, two sons, Larry E. and Robert C. Stewart, two great grandsons, James Stewart and Charles R. Stewart Jr. Also preceding her in death are her sisters, Loucille Lewis, Freda Hammon, Lucy Reeves, and Dora Pincellie, and two brothers, Jackie and Richard McKee. Nephews, Roger Partlow, Harold, Roy, and Gerold Hammon, and Charles Lewis Jr., Lester Lewis, Johnny and Jerry Reeves, Geno and Georgeio Pincille, a son-in-law, Thomas L. Goett and four brothers-in-law also preceded Edna in death.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 3, 2014 in the Rutland Freewill Baptist Church, Rutland Ohio with Pastor’s Ed Varney and John Swanson officiating. Family and friends will be received from 11:00 a.m. till the service time at the Church. Interment will follow in the Gravel Hill Cemetery, Cheshire.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Cremeens-King Funeral Home, of Pomeroy.

Paul Smith, 81, of Middleport, passed away, at 5:24 a.m. on Thursday, January 3, 2014, in the Pleasant Valley Hospital, Point Pleasant, West Virginia. Born August 23, 1932 in Clifton, WV. to the late Grace Smith. He retired from the Middleport Village Highway Garage after thirty years of service.

He is survived by a daughter, Mary (Michael) Lambert, of Rutland, a grandchild, Michael Paul (Jenny) Lambert, of Rutland, three great-grandchildren, Josh, Ashland, and Tyler Lambert, a sister, Betty Kritz, of Middleport and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his mother Paul is preceded in death by a grandson, Andrew Lambert

In keeping with Paul's wishes there will be no calling hours or funeral services. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in the Middleport Hill Cemetery. The Cremeens-King Funeral Home Middleport/Pomeroy Chapel is entrusted with Paul's arrangements.

Esther M. Black

Esther M. Black, 88, of Rutland, passed away at 7:20 a.m.  on Saturday, January 4, 2014 in the Overbrook Center, Middleport. Born May 10, 1925 in Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late Charles and Dolly (Lowe) Schoppert. She was married to Warren D. Black and he preceded her in death in 1997. Esther retired from being a Meigs Local School District bus driver after 27 years of service. She was a charter member of the Rutland Independent Holiness Church as well as a charter member of the Rutland Nazarene Church.

Esther is surivvied by her sons, Jerry (Sharon) Black, of Rutland, Roger (Sharon) Black, of Rutland, Lynn (Joyce) Black, of New Haven, W.V., a daughter-in-law, Barbara Black Shaver, of Cheshire, daughters, Debi (Mike) Gilmore, of Rutland, Brenda (Roger Adrian) Faulk, of Langsville, and Lynda (Don Gibson) Bates, of Harrisburg, Ohio. Twenty grandchildren, thirty seven great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren also survives.

In addition to Esther’s parents and husband she is preceded in death by a son, Ronald Black, a son-in-law, Clinton Randal Faulk, a grandson, Warren Zachary Faulk, a granddaughter, Shelly K. Otworth, and a brother, Charles Schoppert.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 on Wednesday, January 8, 2014, in the Rutland Independent Holiness Church, Brick Street, Rutland Ohio with Rev. Isaac Shupe officiating. Interment will follow in the Miles Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the Church. The Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Middleport/Pomeroy was entrusted with Esther’s arrangements.

Delbert L. Taylor

Delbert L. Taylor, 62, of Middleport, passed away, at 9:45 p.m. on January 1, 2014 at his nephew's James "Jim" Taylor's residence. Born November 19, 1951 he was the son of the late Isaac Arthur "Art" and Linny Mae James Taylor.

He is survived by his daughter, Ashley Taylor, Akron, Oh., a step-daughter, Angela Carpenter, Akron, Oh., a step-son, Thomas Carpenter, Akron, Oh., and numerous grandchildren. A brother, Virgil Harold Taylor, Sr., Cincinnati, Oh., a sister, Evelyn (Stanley) Watson, Sr., Middleport, and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great nephews also survive.

In addition to his parents Delbert is preceded in death by his brothers, Clifford Taylor, Joseph Taylor, William Taylor, and James Taylor, his sisters, Betty Taylor, and Zelma Grady.

In keeping with Delbert's wishes there will be no calling hours or funeral services. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in the Bald Knobs Cemetery. The Cremeens-King Funeral Home, of Pomeroy/Middleport has been entrusted with Delbert's finial arrangements.
