Joe Thomas Warren

Joe Thomas Warren was born November 16, 1930 in Larue County, KY to the late Howard and Ruby Osborne Warren.  He departed this life Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at the Golden Living Center-Green Hill in Greensburg, having attained the age of eighty four years and one month.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Liberty Missionary Baptist Church.  He was a United States Army Veteran and was a sawmill worker.  

Mr. Warren is survived by his wife Ruth Ann Despain Warren, two daughters and one son-in-law:  JoAnn Warren of Campbellsville, Sandra Kay and Elvis Dean Price of Greensburg, two sons and one daughter-in-law:  Kirk and Denise Hammett of Glendale and James Allen Warren of Somerset, one brother and sister-in-law:  Howard and Darena Warren, Jr. of Greensburg and one sister:  Lorene Noe of Hodgenville, six grandchildren:  Casandra Lynn Price, Kenneth Dean Price, Jordan Keith Wilson, Makala Hammett, Aryana Hammett and Hana Polly and several nieces and nephews.

IN MEMORY OF
Mary Helen Pruitt Thompson

Mrs. Mary Helen Pruitt Thompson, age 79 of Hartsville, Tennessee, passed away Monday at the Hartsville Convalescent Center.  Mary was the seventh of nine siblings born on September 18, 1935 in Fry, KY to her parents, Willie Clyde and Willie Ellen Morgan Pruitt.  She graduated from Green County High School, Greensburg, KY in 1954.  In 1953 she married Lewis Robert Thompson.  Following his return from the Army in 1955, the Thompsons moved to Louisville, KY where they worked for Pillsbury and Lewis attended school.  In 1958 they re-located to Hartsville, TN with his job at Columbia Gulf Transmission Company.  They were married for 30 years.  She retired in 1997 after 28 years with Trousdale Manufacturing Company and 3 years at Bates Cee Bee to help babysit her grandchildren.  Mary was a 56 year member of the Hartsville First Baptist Church where she taught the 4 and 5 year old Preschool Sunday School class for approximately 30 years.  She was a 41 year member of the Crescent Chapter #26, Order of the Eastern Star where she served in the East a number of times as well as with state committee, page and representative appointments.  From 1973 to 1980 she served as Mother Advisor of Hartsville Assembly # 18, Order of the Rainbow Girls.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law:  Ann and Robert Thurman of Hartsville, Tenn., four grandchildren:  Seth and Maryanna Thurman of Hartsville, TN, Brennan (Heather) Thurman of Franklin, KY and Joshua (Kaitlin) Vantrease of Westmoreland, TN;   four great grandchildren:  Mariah, Kaleb, Luke and Kayde;   two brothers and sisters-in-law:  Lenn and Mary Ellen Pruitt and Clifford and Lana Pruitt of Greensburg, two sisters-in-law:  Maxidean Pruitt of Greensburg and Jane Pruitt of Glasgow and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Helen Pruitt Thompson will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday at the Hartsville First Baptist Church with Bro. Darryl Turner officiating.   Burial will be in the Hartsville Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be from 4 until 8 Wednesday at Anthony Funeral Home in Hartsville, Tennessee and after 9 a.m. Friday at the church.  Eastern Star services will be held 7 p.m. Wednesday at Anthony Funeral Home in Hartsville, TN.

The family has requested that donations be made to the Hartsville First Baptist Church, Fred A. Vaught Public Library or the charity of your choice.  These can be made locally at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home in Greensburg.

Mrs. Norma Jo Karnes was born July 11, 1934 in Adair County, KY to the late Melvin and Ines Bennett Garrison.  She departed this life Sunday, November 16, 2014 at her home in Greensburg, having attained the age of eighty years, four months and five days.

Mrs. Karnes had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the South Summersville Baptist Church.  She worked at Fruit of the Loom for several years.  Besides her parents she is preceded in death by one son:  Bill Karnes, granddaughter:  Megan Karnes, and her sister:  Earnestine Squires, and daughter-in-law: Angie Davis Karnes.

She is survived by her husband:  William Karnes, her son and daughter-in-law:  Steve and Amy Karnes of Wilmore, one brother and sister-in-law:  Bobby and Ruby Garrison of Buffalo, one sister and brother-in-law:  Judy and Randall Penick of Green County, four grandchildren:  Chris, Derek, Daniel and Lucas Karnes, three step grandchildren:  Lainey Muller, Jodie Guelda and Jack Muller and four great grandchildren:  Shelby, Grant, Dakota and Sierra Karnes, plus a host of other relatives and friends.

Nancy Huddleston

Mrs. Nancy Huddleston was born April 16, 1920 in Green County, KY to the late Edward Thomas and Cleo Hudson Rogers.  She departed this life Sunday, November 16, 2014 at the  Golden Living Center-Green Hill, having attained the age of ninety-four years.

Mrs. Huddleston had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greensburg United Methodist Church.  She joined the church in 1938.  She was District Manager for the Golden Thimble.  Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband George M. Huddleston, two brothers and four sisters.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law:  Mike and Marilyn Huddleston of Greensburg, two grandchildren:  Matt Huddleston and Kay Huddleston Harned and four great grandchildren, plus a host of other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Lillie Mae Dobson was born March 25, 1915 in Green County, KY to the late Granville and Lillie Bennett Marcum.  She departed this life Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at the Golden Living Center-Green Hill in Greensburg, KY, having attained the age of ninety-nine years, seven months and seventeen days.  

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Oak Forest Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband:  Eli Dobson, son and daughter-in-law:  Ledford Wayne and Betty Dobson, brother:  Boyce Marcum, half- brother:  Thurman Marcum and step-mother:  Grace Marcum.

She is survived by three grandsons:  Howell, Blake and Brad Dobson of Bowling Green, special niece and great niece:  Sarah Henderson and Peggy Frank of Greensburg and three great grandchildren.

There will be a service 10 a.m. central time Friday at the Campbellsville Memorial Garden Mausoleum in Campbellsville.  Arrangements by Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home In Greensburg.

Wilda Pearl Turner

Mrs. Wilda Pearl Turner was born December 24, 1917 in Metcalfe County, KY to the late Clarence and Cindy Stilts Atwell.  She departed this life Friday, November 7, 2014 at the Jane Todd Crawford Hospital in Greensburg, KY, having attained the age of ninety-six years, ten months and thirteen days.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Shady Grove Baptist Church.  She was an owner/operator of Turner's Café and Shell Station in Horse Cave, KY. and she was head of the Greensburg Senior Citizens for 27 years.  She retired at the age of 90.  Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband:  Lester Turner, one infant son:  Lester Turner, Jr, one daughter:  Alma Thompson and several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her granddaughter:  Linda Doss (Michael) of Columbia, three great grandchildren:  Jason Turner (Staci) of Antioch, Tennessee, Matthew Aaron Turner of Campbellsville and  Ashley Sheree Turner of Columbia, three great great grandchildren:  Ryan Hogan, Cayden Murphy and Ethan Murphy, all of Columbia, plus a host of other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Glenna Lee Acree was born October 29, 1934 in Metcalfe County, KY to the late Glen and Tara Henderson Stotts.  She departed this life Friday, November 7, 2014 at the Golden Living Center-Green Hill, having attained the age of eighty years and eight days.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death December 25, 2005 by her husband William Acree.  She was a member of the Center United Methodist Church.  She retired from the Green County School System, where she worked as a Food Service Director.

She is survived by two sons and two daughters-in-law:  Lester and Denise Acree of Campbellsville and Tim and Tina Acree of Greensburg, one sister:  Rebecca Davis of Greensburg and two grandchildren:  Jeremy and Jennifer, plus a host of other relatives and friends.

Junior (J.R.) A. Bagby

Junior (J.R.) A. Bagby, 86,  Campbellsville, KY formerly of Cambridge, Ohio passed peacefully November 4, 2014, at Golden Living Center-Green Hill, Greensburg, KY after a long and courageous battle with cancer.  J.R. was born September 9, 1928 to James and Lela  (Acree)  Bagby, Greensburg, Ky.   Although he fought this disease many years of his life he lived a full and wonderful life with his loving wife Clydene whom he married December 12, 1947. They have three surviving children Larry (Jean) Bagby, Wooster, Ohio,  Keith Bagby, Campbellsville and  Patty (Ted) Khune, Cambridge, Ohio.  Grandchildren, Shane, Shannon, Chad, Justin, Jessi and Kymmie.  Great-grandchildren, Michael, Kristin, Lela, Zack, Kyla, Gavin, Gage & Gabi.  A special person to J.R. & Clydene who has been like a granddaughter, Joanna Vaughn.

Mr. Bagby was predeceased by his parents, James & Lela Bagby, brothers James, Ellis,  Ruppert, Vernon, sister Dimple, a daughter in law, Brenda.  He has one surviving sister, Lassie Schmidt of Campbellsville, KY.

As a young couple J.R. & Clydene traveled the U.S. working in factories, the oilfields,  managing Hillcrest skating rink and the head sawyer at Hinchcliff Products Co for many years.  J.R. was a friend to all that knew him and he will be loved and remembered always.  He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and his signature laugh and that twinkle in his eyes will bring a smile to us all as we remember his antics and joy in his life.    

Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home of Greensburg KY is taking care of his final arrangements and he will be cremated with no funeral services.  His family will have a private gathering to celebrate his Life at a time of their choosing.  

It is the request of Mr. Bagby that any donations be sent to Taylor County Animal Shelter,  2175 Hodgenville Rd, Campbellsville, KY 42718 in his honor.

Ellen Louise Fields England was born April 23, 1934 in Metcalfe County to the late Leonard and Bertha Fields.  She departed this life Saturday, November 1, 2014 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility in Columbus, Indiana, having attained the age of eighty years, six months and eight days.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended Gadyville Baptist Church, where her grandson Keith was her pastor.  She was a homemaker.  She married Franklin Fields on July 16, 1953 with whom she had 5 children;  he preceded her in death on September 19, 2001.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers:  Herman Grissom and James Fields;  sisters:  Jewell McInteer and Myrtle Coomer and a son-in-law:  Edward Lloyd on September 25, 2014.

She is survived by three sons and three daughters-in-law:  Jerry and Lisa Fields of Green Co., Gary and Connie Fields of Seymour, Indiana and David and Bonne Fields of Edmonton, KY, two daughters and one son-in-law:  Linda Lloyd  and Patricia and Paul Lewis of Columbus, Indiana, one brother and sister-in-law:  Edward and Carolyn Fields of Horse Cave, KY, twenty-seven grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren, plus a host of other relatives and friends.

Denise "JoJo" Brown Walden was born September 19, 1950 in Edinburgh, Indiana to the late Chester L. Brown and Deloris Cornelius Brown-Fuel.  She departed this life Friday, October24, 2014 at the Norton Hospital In Louisville, KY, having attained the age of sixty-four years, one month and five days.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her children:  Troy A. Nolan and Stacy L. Nolan and her brother:  Robert L. Brown.  She worked as a bartender and waitress.  She was a lifetime member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary to Post 5813, Greensburg, KY.   She was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, the Moose Lodge, American Legion and ABATE.  Denise loved her family and enjoyed her dogs.

She is survived by two daughters:  Tracy Jo Nolan-Jordan of Indiana and Tabatha DeAnn and Bowers of Greensburg, four sisters:  Carolyn Sue Endicott, Gertrude L. Jones, Edna Ruth Stopparo and Jennifer Harris, five grandchildren:   Michael A. Rice, Mitchell A. Rice, Matthew A. Jacobs, Mark A. Rice and Reid A. Newkirk, great grandson:  Miles Rice, plus a host of other relatives and friends.

A memorial service for Denise "JoJo" Walden will be conducted 1 p.m. Sunday at the Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home in Greensburg.  There will be no burial, the family chose cremation.  Friends of Denise "JoJo" Walden may call from 11 a.m. Sunday until the funeral hour at 1 p.m. at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home.

Mr. David Dawson was born February 23 1936 in Shelby County, Kentucky to the late Noble Thomas and Odessa Mae Wiley Dawson.  He departed this life October 17, 2014 at his home in Greensburg, having attained the age of seventy-eight years, seven months and twenty-four days.

David had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the South Greensburg Baptist Church.  Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters:  Milton, Dwight and Noble Dawson, Mary Tharp and Jean Dawson.

He is survived by his wife Margaret Adkins Dawson and one son:  Jessie Dawson of Greensburg, three sisters:  Martha Child of Florida, Lois Phelps of Michigan and Marcella Glass of Louisville.  He is also survived by two sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law:  Josie Adkins of Breckinridge County, Lydia Simpson of Edmonton, Robert and Ricky Adkins of Green County, plus a host of other relatives and friends.

Betty Jean Jones was born December 30, 1935 in Marion County, KY to the late Thomas and Roberta Wright Boswell.  She departed this life Monday, September 29, 2014  at the Jane Todd Crawford Hospital in Greensburg, having attained the age of seventy-eight years, eight months and twenty-nine days.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Baptist Faith.  She was a homemaker.  Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband:  Clifford Jones and one sister:  Sue Sergeant.

She is survived by four sons and two daughters:  Steve Jones of Louisville, Billy Jones and Tracy Copeof Gravel Switch, Joe Bert, Robin Mays and Danny Jones, all of Lebanon, one brother and one sister:  Larry Boswell and Ann Ciros, both of California.

Elsie Marie Lile Matney was born September 18, 1923 in Green County, Kentucky to the late Tony Lile and Louella Curry Lile.  She departed this life Saturday, September 27, 2014 at her home in the Exie Community of Green County, having attained the age of ninety-one years and nine days.

Mrs. Matney had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Protestant Faith.  She was a homemaker.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Johnnie W. Matney; five brothers and four sisters: Otis Lile, Dick Lile, Tude Lile, Jack Lile, Doodle Lile and Beulah Russell, Mozetta Meadows, Christine Thompson and Elave Edwards.

She is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law: Arnold W. and Shirley Matney of Greensburg, KY, Alvin C. and Kaye Matney of Sulphur Well, KY and Benny Matney of Metcalfe Co., KY, one daughter and son-in-law: Norma L. and Wayne Keltner of Vine Grove, KY.  She is also survived by three sisters-in-law: Lois Houk, Ellen Houk and Laverne Lile all of Greensburg, KY., seven grandchildren: Glenda Harlow, Regina Vincent, Marty Matney, Angela Judd, Alvin Dean Matney, Monica Shirley and Josh Matney, eleven great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, plus a host of other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Velva "Darnell" Humphrey Waldman of Hudson, Florida, formerly of Radcliff, KY daughter of the late Arthur Edward Humphrey and Rosa Pipes Humphrey Heard, was born on October 14, 1938 and departed this life on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at her home surrounded by family.  She was 75 years, 9 months and 29 days of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the First Christian Church.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, William "Sonny" Waldman having united in marriage on January 11, 1955.  She is also survived by two daughters and sons-in-law:  Debora and Jerry D. Morris had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Aetna Grove Baptist Church.  He was a retired School Bus Driver for the Green County Board of Education.  He was a 60 year member of the William B. Allen Masonic Lodge in Summersville, KY.  He was a United States Army Veteran, serving during World War II.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death October 27, 2005 by his wife, Ruth Bale Price.  He was also preceded in death March 17, 2009 by one son:  Terry Price.

He is survived by his caregiver:  Connie Walker of Campbellsville, KY, two grandchildren:  Jeremy Walker and Jennifer Fitzpatrick, three great grandchildren:  Reese Walker, Avery Walker and Rylee Price Fitzpatrick, plus a host of other relatives and friends.

Dixie was a member of the Walnut Memorial Baptist Church and New Life Baptist Church.  She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, crafts, collecting dolls and playing on the computer.  Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by two sons:  John Robert Hagan ad Michael Scott Hagan and one brother:  Billy Buckner.

She is survived by her husband, Hardin Hagan, one son and daughter-in-law:  Ricky Dean and Vesta Hagan, three daughters and sons-in-law:  Deborah Lynn and Edward Maglero, Sharon Kaye and Scotty Sholar and Lisa and Tracy Stewart, two sisters:  Roberta Davenport of Louisville and Mary Jane Compton of Greensburg, four brothers:  James Buckner of Louisville, Elroy, Bobby and Donnie Buckner of Greensburg, seventeen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ at an early age and was a member of the Beech Grove Baptist Church.  She was a welder supervisor during World War II and was a homemaker.  She was very active in the Democratic Party.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death October 9, 1972 by her husband:  Woodrow Lynn Edwards.  She is also preceded in death by one grandson:  Robert Woodrow Edwards, one sister:  Louise Simpson and one son-in-law:  Leo Jones, Jr.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law:  J.W. Bill and Anne Edwards of Greensburg, two daughters and one son-in-law:  Elizabeth Jones of Greensburg and Jean and Tony Ennis of Hodgenville, one sister:  Barbara L. He is survived by two sons:  Byron Keith Lingle of Robinson, Illinois and Gregory Todd Lingle of Louisville, KY, five grandchildren:  Matthew and Monica Lingle, R.D. Susie Pearl had made a profession of faith in Christ at an early age at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.  She attended the Church of God in Campbellsville.  She worked at Jane Todd Crawford Hospital as a Licensed Practical Nurse.  She was a CPR instructor, avid reader, loved playing the piano, clogger, pharmacist technician, and nail tech.  Besides her parents, she  was preceded in death November 30 2013 by her husband, Robert Lee Barnett.  In 1983 she was preceded in death by one son:  Donald Lee Barnett.  Also preceding her in death are four brothers:  Wallace, Ben, Lincoln and Abra White.

U.J. Wood

Mr. U.J. Wood was born January 23, 1933 in Metcalfe County, KY to the late Joseph Wood and Annie Yates Mills.  He departed this life Saturday, March 8, 2014 at the Golden Living-Green Hill Manor, having attained the age of eighty-one years, one month and fifteen days.

Mr. Wood had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the 2nd Baptist Church in Greensburg.  He was a retired school teacher and Water Plant Operator for the City of Greensburg.  Besides his parents, he is preceded in death September 9, 2013 by his grandson:  Jamaal Wood.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mrs. Addie V. Miller Wood, two sons, one daughter and one daughter-in-law:  Michael and Mary Wood of Greensburg, Jacqueline Wood and Tyler Wood of Grand Prairie, Texas.  He is also survived by four grandchildren:  Tobey, Trae and Lauran Wood and Faun Crenshaw and her husband Brandon, four great grandchildren:  Kobie, Brooks and Skylar Wood and Keeley Crenshaw, plus a host of other relatives and friends.

Arthur Lee "Art" Thompson

Arthur Lee "Art" Thompson, 78, died Saturday February 15th, 2014 at the Hospice Care Center in Lexington. He was born in Pike, Co. Kentucky, son to the late James E. and Mary Ratliff Thompson. He was a customer service courier for Pathology and Cytology Laboratories. A member of Central Baptist Church in Lexington and an avid golfer, and UK Basketball fan. He is survived by his devoted wife and best friend, Sandy Vance Thompson, his daughter, Sharon Thompson, Lexington, three sisters, Alice (George) Kendrick, and Emma Lou Charles, all of Pikeville, Barbara (James) Coleman, Lexington, his grandson, Travis Thompson, Lexington, his beloved dog, Baylee, special friends, Larry Miller, Tom Eades, Leslie and Lohmann Sidebottom, Lisa and Rod Lemue, Fred and Lynn Jolly, and many special co-workers at P&C. He was preceded in death by two brothers, James Thompson Jr. and Oscar Thompson, his two dogs, Bandee and Boomer, his father in law and mother in law, Creswell and Gertrude Vance.

Nicholas Bre'don Ford

Nicholas Bre'don Ford, the 9 year old son of Huezell and Erika Mitchell Ford of Greensburg and a 3rd Grade Student at the Green County Intermediate School passed away Tuesday at his home.  Besides his parents he is survived by three brothers:  DaVonte' Ford, Ethan Ford and Jaden Pierce, of Greensburg and one sister:  Salena Ford of Louisville.  He is also survived by his grandmother:  Deborah Cowherd of Greensburg and great grandfather:  Paul Mitchell of Greensburg and a special friend:  Erik Edwards of Greensburg.

Funeral services for Nicholas Bre'don Ford will be conducted 10 a.m. Central Time Saturday at the Green County Intermediate School, 401 East Hodgenville Avenue in Greensburg.  Burial will follow in the Green County Memory Gardens in Summersville.

The wake will be from 5 p.m. til 8 p.m. Friday evening and after 7 a.m. Saturday morning at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home in Greensburg.

The family would appreciate that expressions of sympathy be donations to Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home for Funeral Expenses.  These can be made at the funeral home.

William "Red" Blakeman

William "Red" Blakeman was born May 19, 1932 in Adair County, KY to the late Herbert and Pearl Bagby Blakeman.  He departed this life Monday, February 3, 2014 at the Dawson Springs Health and Rehab in Dawson Springs, KY, having attained the age of eighty-one years, eight months and fourteen days.

"Red" was employed by Kentucky Trailers in Louisville and was a Taxi Cab driver in Green County.

He is survived by one son:  William Lewis Bloyd of Greensburg and two daughters:  Julie Antle and husband Scottie and Cindy Blakeman of Campbellsville.  He is also survived by one sister:  Irene Blakeman, five grandchildren, plus a host of other relatives and friends.

Robert Lee Woolridge

Mr. Robert Lee Woolridge was born March 8, 1958 in Green County, KY to the late James H. Woolridge and Lilly Mae Miller Woolridge.  He departed this life Saturday, January 25, 2014 at the University Of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, having attained the age of fifty-five years, ten months and seventeen days.

At an early age he professed his love for Jesus Christ, he was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.  He was a retired United States Army Veteran.

Robert leaves to cherish his memory, five sons and two daughters:  Jordan Miller and Anton Newby of Lexington, Robert and Dewayne Woolridge of North Carolina, Robert Woolridge of Guam, Tiagia Miller of Lexington and Sheldon Taylor of Campbellsville, eight brothers and two sisters:  Earl Barnett of Campbellsville, James Barnett of Aurora, Illinois, Harold Barnett of Little Rock, Arkansas, Rosie Heath of Corona, California, Etta Salter of Cincinnati, Ohio, Donnie and Ronnie Wooldridge of Columbia, Larry Woolridge of Danville, Joshua Woolridge of Los Angeles, California and Jeffrey Woolridge of Columbia, thirteen grandchildren, one great grandchild and a special friend, Pamela Miller.

Trent Colvin

Trent Colvin, age 49 passed away from cancer on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at his home in Greensburg under the care of Hosparus.

Trent was a graduate of Green County High School and Elizabethtown Community College.  He worked for several years at Clark's Plumbing and Heating Supply in Lebanon and Ace Hardware in Springfield and for K-Country Radio.  He had a passion for fishing and successfully competed in tournaments with his good friend Eddie Goode and won "Angler of the Year Awards".  He was a member of the Christian fishing club "Fishers of Men" and served as the National Public Relations Director of "Fishing For Kids" which provided rods, reels and bait for disadvantaged children and taught them some of the techniques of successful fishing, sportsmanship and safety.

Trent  is survived by his son, Alex Colvin;  his parents, Bill and Lois Colvin;  one sister, Connie Shuffett and her husband Stan;  special niece and nephew;  Kiley and Landon Shuffett;  uncles and aunts, Jean Blakeman of Naples, Florida;  James Pendleton of Whitewood;  Viola Brown of Greensburg;  Helen Redman of New Mexico;  Cletus and Linda Colvin of Leitchfield;  Pauline and Dave Wren of Louisville;  Margaret and Paul Brockman of Lebanon;  Sue Colvin of Georgetown;  Wanda and Johnny Abell of Finley;  Donald and Pam Colvin of Campbellsville; and Barbara and Mike Shaw of Eminence;   his first maternal first cousin, Mark Blakeman;  special friends, Eddie Goode, Van Gadberry, John Roution, Doug Hall, Darryl Aubrey, Greg Laramore, Todd and Tommy Rogers, Susan Parker Hughes, Janie Dile Borders, Ronnadean Allen Bertram, Michelle Cash, the buddies at K & P Marina and many other relatives, friends and classmates.

A Celebration of Mass was held at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Greensburg, Saturday, January 25, 2014 with Rev. David Naylor, pastor.  Burial was in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers:  Eddie Goode, John Roution, Darryl Aubrey, Van Gadberry, Doug Hall and Greg Laramore.

Margaret Yvonne Gaddie

Mrs. Margaret Yvonne Gaddie was born March 24, 1932 in Green County, KY to the late Frank and Minnie Taylor Calhoun.  She departed this life Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at the Taylor Regional Hospital, Campbellsville, KY, having attained the age of eighty-one years, ten months and one day.

Mrs. Gaddie had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the 2nd Baptist Church in Greensburg, KY.  She was a missionary, adult choir and the Greensburg/Green County Civic Club.  She was a Licensed Practical Nurse.  Besides her parents, June 14, 1997 she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Gaddie.  She is also preceded in death by one grandson, Michael Gaddie, four sisters and three brothers:  Olivia Strain, Mary Frances Mullins, Hattie Hazelwood, Carolyn Yarber, Clifford Dawson, James Willie Calhoun and Frank Calhoun, Jr.  

She is survived by two daughters:  Prentice Spaulding of Woodbridge, Virginia and Franceda Mudd of Greensburg, KY, seven grandchildren:  JerRhonda Spaulding, Netausha Gaddie-Coates (Victor), Keisha Spaulding-Higdon (Tim), Christopher Spaulding (Tanisha), Sammy Gaddie (Tasha), Charletta and Chanta Gaddie, twenty great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren, plus a host of other relatives and friends.
